Are you are thinking about purchasing new furniture or a new rug? Would you like five years additional peace of mind? Yes, then you should consider one of our fabric care and warranty products. We offer three fabric care solutions with a product warranty:
- Fabric Protection with the Multimaster 5 Year Stains Only Product Warranty.
- Fabric Protection with the Multimaster 5 Year Ultimate Product Warranty.
- Multimaster Care Kit with the Multimaster 5 Year Ultimate Product Warranty.
What is Fabric Protection?
Nothing can provide 100% protection, but treated furnishings have a protective layer which prevents spills from easily soaking into the fabric. Without protection, your furniture may be vulnerable to stains. Spills on untreated natural fibres easily penetrate deep into the fabric causing stains that are often permanent or very difficult to remove.
Our Fabric Protection is applied by Multimaster approved applicators before your furniture is delivered, so your furniture will arrive protected and ready to use. The fabric protection coats every fibre of the fabric creating a durable barrier that protects your furniture from stains, but doesn’t affect the look, feel or smell of your furniture.
What is a Care Kit?
Not all fabrics require protection: some synthetic fabrics are inherently resistant to staining and some fabrics are treated with fabric protection during the manufacturing process. Our Care Kits provide quality care for these types of textile products; they are designed to meet your routine cleaning needs, and to help you deal with any accidents that may occur.
If you decide to purchase a warranty with a care kit, you will have two options: our Textile Master Care Kit or our GreenGard Care Kit. Would you like more information about the Textile Master Care Kits or GreenGard Care Kits.
Please note, kits may vary between stores, please ask your furniture retailer for more information about the specific Multimaster Care Kits they stock, or contact us.
What is the Stains Only Product Warranty?
We are so confident in the quality of our products that we are happy to offer the option of an extended product warranty. Our Stains Only Product Warranty will cover the fabric upholstered cover of your furniture against oil, water and alcohol stains caused by:
- All accidental food and beverage spills.
- Human and pet bodily fluids.
What services do we provide under the Stains Only Product Warranty?
In the event of a stain, we will provide you with cleaning advice and additional cleaning products (if required and provided you have purchased and used the recommended products). If you are unable to remove the stain, we will arrange for professional furniture cleaner to remove the stain for you.
If a stain is covered under the warranty and it cannot be removed by an authorised cleaning technician, we will refund you the price paid for the warranty (proof of purchase is required).
Nothing provides 100% protection, but we are so confident in the quality of our products that we are happy to offer the option of an extended product warranty. The warranty reflects our confidence that our products will help protect your furniture from stains. In addition, we have extended the warranty to cover damage to the upholstery.
What does the Ultimate Product Warranty cover?
If you take good care of your leather furniture it should last a long time. But accidents happen. Our warranty is designed to give you greater peace of mind by providing you with protection against some of those accidents. The warranty will cover your furniture's upholstery, when the furniture is used for its intended purpose, against...
Stains caused by:
- All food and beverages
- Human and pet bodily fluids
- Common household substances including: cosmetics, glue, grease and tar,
soaps and shampoos, ink, wax and nail polish.
Damage caused by:
- Any incidents that occur when you are using your furniture for
its intended purpose. For example: scuffs, scratches, punctures and rips
- Cigarette burns
- Pet scratches.
Please note claims for damage caused by pets are limited to one claim and Multimaster’s liability is limited to repairing a single panel of the furniture. Accumulated cigarette burns or pet scratches and pet scratches where the damage extends through the furniture`s upholstery are not covered under the warranty.
What services do we provide under the warranty?
Stains: if your furniture is stained, first we will provide you with cleaning advice and additional cleaning products. If you cannot remove the stain, we will arrange for professional upholstery cleaner to remove it for you.
Damage: if your lounge has been damaged we will arrange for a professional technician to repair the damaged area.
Replacement: if the stain cannot be removed, or if the damage cannot be repaired, we will replace the affected piece of fabric. If a section of your upholstery is replaced, your warranty will still be valid for the remaining warranty period.
We may not be able to provide an exact colour match for your upholstery due to variations in dye lots. If the colour is not reasonably acceptable, we will (at our discretion) recover or replace the affected part, chair or suite.
If we deem a replacement to be necessary, the cost of replacement furniture will be covered by us on a pro rata basis. We will contribute replacement costs as follows:
Up to the 1st year anniversary of the warranty, we will provide 100% of the
replacement cost.
Up to the 2nd year anniversary of the warranty, we will provide 90% of the
replacement cost.
Up to the 3rd year anniversary of the warranty, we will provide 80% of the
replacement cost.
Up to the 4th year anniversary of the warranty, we will provide 65% of the
replacement cost.
Up to the 5th year anniversary of the warranty, we will provide 50% of the
replacement cost.
All services are provided subject to the terms and conditions of the warranty. For more information on these terms and conditions please contact us.
What furniture is the warranty available with?
Fabric Warranty: you can purchase a Fabric Care Kit and
Product Warranty or Fabric Protection and Product Warranty with rugs and most fabric upholstered furniture, including: lounge chairs, lounge suites, recliners, bedheads, bedframes and dining chairs.
Combined Warranty: you can purchase a combined Leather & Fabric Care Kit and Product Warranty with most furniture with a combination of leather and fabric upholstery, including: lounge chairs, lounge suites, recliners, bedheads, bedframes and dining chairs.
How many pieces of furniture will the warranty cover?
The kit and warranty are available in three sizes:
Single Warranty: for 1 seat
Double warranty: for 2-4 seats
Multiple warranty: for 5-7 seats
| |
What’s a seat?
To make it easy to include different types of furniture on the same
warranty we have developed the “seat” unit of measurement. A “seat” is
equivalent to a single lounge seat.
Lounge Seats: a single recliner = 1 seat, a three seater sofa = 3 seats, etc.
Dining Chairs: Four dining chairs are equal to one seat.
Upholstered Beds: An upholstered bedhead is equal to two seats. An upholstered bedframe (bedhead, sides and footboard) is equal to four seats.
Rugs: For rugs, the number of “seats” is determined by the area of the rug:
Small rug (up to 3 m2) is equal to 1 seat.
Medium rug (from 3 to 5 m2) is equal to 4 seats.
Large rug (from 5 to 10 m2) is equal to 7 seats.
So, if you purchased two fabric recliners, a two seater fabric sofa, and
a 80cm by 150cm rug, then you would work out the total number of seats
as follows:
Two recliners + a two seater sofa = 4 lounge seats
Rug area = 0.8m x 1.5m = 1.2 m2 = 1 seat
Total seats = 5 (you would need a Multiple Textile Care Kit or Fabric Protection
Warranty)
